This session connects to the one of last week, where we focused on looseness and relaxation. This week, we took advantage of the newly gained shoulder mobility, thus a more easily stretched latissimus dorsi and therefore had better body weight use throughout the entire drive. How to row smoothly like a cat – Re live of Saturdays, December 28th, 2024

This session was a very important one. Instead of trying to be perfect every stroke, the focus was on body weight use from the catch on and maximum smoothness. We also focused on the exact sequence of how to position your shoulders the right way before the catch, during the catch and during the drive. Both Saturday lives also had personal touch of my own journey as a rower, almost becoming a bit philosophical, yet precise and concise to achieve the mission: row smoothly with body weight, and to reverse the often heard mantra: be heard, not seen.
